Come along to our charity event on Monday 2nd September for a night of Nat King Cole presented by local Matt Gilsenan. Matt has an interest keen interest in music and will bring the music of Nat King Cole back to life for one night for a worthy cause, Trim Meals on Wheels. All money raised will go to the charity, so book your ticket now.
A bit about Matt…
Born in Trim, Co. Meath in 1937. A member of a family all of whom had a musical interest. Married to Dolores and an accomplished pianist/teacher.
A bit about Nat…
Nat King Cole, was an American jazz pianist and vocalist. He recorded over one hundred songs that became hits on the pop charts. He was the first African American man to host an American television series. He wrote classics such as “The Christmas Song” (1947), “(Get Your Kicks on) Route 66“, “(I Love You) For Sentimental Reasons” (1946), “There! I’ve Said It Again” (1947), “Nature Boy” (1948), “Frosty The Snowman“, “Mona Lisa” (No. 1 song of 1950), “Orange Colored Sky” (1950), “Too Young” (No. 1 song of 1951).
