Come and stay at our dog-friendly bed and breakfast this summer. We welcome dogs of all sizes to our premises. Please let us know in advance and we will get the bowl and water ready for your four-legged pal! Your dog can stay in your room with you and we are on our own private grounds which are quite secure so you can rest assured that there is space for your dog to stretch their legs. There are many dog walks within 5 minutes of the Old Rectory. A good example is the porchfields which are in the centre of the town and only a 5 minute walk from our premises. After your breakfast you can enjoy a scenic walk with your dog in the town. There are a few dog-friendly cafes and bars with outdoor dining where you can grab a coffee or some food and let your canine friends relax after their fabulous walk. We offer high standards of pet-care. Don’t worry if you forget about leads and bowls, we offer these for pet owners visiting Meath and Ireland with their dogs.
Ideal location for a dog friendly holiday
There are many dog friendly restaurants, bars, cafes and boutique shops to visit in Trim town. Trim is a hive of activity yet it is also immersed in Irish countryside, making it an idyllic place to visit. Trim is a fantastic place to enjoy a combination of free and paid activities. You can visit a number of historic sites such as Trim Castle, the Yellow Steeple, Newtown Abbey, the Priory, The Sheep-Gate, the Wellington Monument and St. Patrick’s Cathedral.
